 Roy Rogers Bell, Sr, 75 years of age, resided at 336 Cornwall Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215, passed away on June 16, 2023 @ 0646. Roy R. Bell, Sr was born on April 25, 1948, to Talley & Inez Bell in Fort Pierce Florida. Roy received his Christian background at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce Florida and accepted the Lord and Savior. After Roy graduated from Lincon Park High School in 1968, he joined the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Roy Sr. Fought in Vietnam War. After returning home from the war, Roy Sr received an honorable discharge from the Navy, in Long Beach, California August 19th, 1970. Immediately after, Roy Sr was drafted into the United States Army where he served in the Koren War & Cambodian War. Roy received Vietnam Combat Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, Army Achievement Ribbon, and several other medals & ribbons from serving in the military. He married his wife, Etta E Bell in 1979. On August 16th, 1980, he relocated to Silver Springs, New York with his wife, Etta Bell, and children: Reginald, LeEtta, Roshelle, Kyshawna, Shanaka & Roy Jr in the oven. He joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. R. Turner. While a member, he served on the Deacon Board and Finance Commitee. Roy got hurt while working on the job and had to retire from the military after serving 20 years of service. Roy had many jobs helping lost souls and spreading the word such as a Teacher at GCC and Batavia High School, Street Ministery, etc. Roy married Velma J Bell-Rolle and had Cley, Tanayana, Eugina, Dimitrius & Angel. We are honored to share this time in remembering our beloved Father Roy. Bell Sr. Roy R. Bell Sr was a dedicated family man, who was always there when anyone needed him. Seeing so many people here to say goodbye to Roy R. Bell Sr today shows just how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. Our father’s words reflected his life’s experiences but were also just funny. Some phrases he used to say were: “Gemme that noise! You kidding me! And are favorite on Chirp, Chirp! Preceded in death his daughter Shanaka Bell, His mother and Father Inez & Talley Bell, 5 brothers: Charles, Palmer, Wille, William, and Kenny. 2 sisters: Gloria Jean and Ellen J (T.T) and his first beloved wife Etta E. Bell. Roy leaves to cherish his memories of his two sisters: Betty Willis and Susan & Chester Becheum, 5 daughters: Roshelle Bell, LeEtta Ross Bell Elliott & Lamar Elliott, Kyshawna Bell, Tanyana Bell, and Eugenia Bell. His 5 sons: Reginald M. Wilson, Roy R. Bell Jr. Cley Rolle, Dimitrius Bell, and Angel Bell. 17 grandkids: Davon, Tra’Shawn, JaMaicia, KaliAnn, Jaya, Jason Jr., SkyéLa, KaeSean, Nehemiah, Amariona, Aminah, Markel Jr., Neyeheila, Zymir, Aria, Lyric and Kyrie, His great grandkids: KaiLeah, Kwinn and Moses. His Ex. Wife Velma Bell and many honored kids and grandkids he loved so much as his own.
