Mother Lucille Thomas- Jordan- Brown was born on November 7, 1947, in Indian River County to the late Frank Jordan Sr. and Lily B. Collins. She was the second oldest child of four.
She graduated from Gifford High School. She met the married the love of her life Perry Brown Jr.
Mother Brown worked at Indian River Memorial Hospital for 40 years. She was a volunteer at the soup kitchen until her health failed her. She also went to the hospital and nursing homes to visit the sick. She was a faithful member of Northside Church of God. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Lily; her brothers: Frank Jr. and Carl; her husband, Perry Brown Jr.
On August 12, 2025, Mother Brown slipped away to Glory.
She leaves to cherish her memory to: her daughter, Sheila Williams Simmons; her son, Robert Brown; her brother, Eddie Jordan; six grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and dear friends.
