Joe Louis Wilson was born on August 26, 1944, in Sumter, South Carolina to the late James Wilson Sr. and Inez Sims- Wilson.
He was educated through Sumter County Catholic school. Joe graduated from Lincoln Park High School with the class of 1962.
Fate would have it that he met the love of his life, France J. Williams, in March 1965 in Stuart, Florida, and to this union he became a proud father of five beautiful children: Ronald Williams, Donald Williams, Katrina Wilson, Cynthia Wilson and Malesia Wilson.
Joe found his passion in the past 49 years being a builder. He was employed by Richard Davis Construction Company, where he later retired from.
Joe was a very loving person. He always liked to have fun and he loved to travel and eat at Golden Corral. Fishing was his hobby. He would fish all night until he caught enough specs. He also loved the beach. He hung out with friends and barbecued. Joe was an awesome dancer and he loved to listen to good music. He also had a green thumb for planting everything in his garden.
He loved his Ford truck and to top it off he was a dresser always on top of his fashion.
On Sunday, March 31, 2024, Joe Louis Wilson was called home by his Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his PARENTS, James Wilson Sr. and Inez Sims-Wilson; a HALF-BROTHER, Ransom Wilson ("Koejack"); and A GRAND-SON, Dontavious Williams.
Left to cherish precious and thoughtful memories are: SONS: Donald (Sharell) Williams and Ronald Williams; DAUGHTERS: Katrina Wilson, Cynthia Wilson (Clarence), and Malesia Wilson Charnei Washington, and Amiyah Armstrong; a host of GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; and other sorrowing.
