Gloria A Mitchell-Johnson was born March 2, 1957, to Minnie James-Conley in Quincy, Florida. She was affectionately known to many as “Duke”. Gloria attended and matriculated through the public schools of Saint Lucie County, ultimately attending Lincoln Park Academy. She was a full-time Dietary Aide for over 30 years at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and was also a member of River of Life Fellowship church under the leadership of Pastor Vernon Shazier. Gloria had a passion for decorating flower arrangements and unique flower pieces.
On Sunday, November 6, 2022, Gloria’s life book closed at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Willie Johnson Jr.; Father, Howard James Jr.; Sisters: Jeannette McGill, Pearline Lovemore; and Daughter, Twinetta L. Hall.
Left to cherish her fond memories are: Mother: Minnie James-Conley; Children: Willie Hall Jr., Antwain Lee (Nicole), Tamika Plain, Joe Plain, and Crystal Rolle (Horace); Grandchildren: Razeem Andrews, Johnequa Metilus, Romance Plain, Antaysia Lee, Tyler Mobley, Alonzo Mitz, Willie Hall III, and Ashanti Hall; Great Grandchild, Ashton Hall; Sisters: Sandra James, Helon Singletary (Kevin), Sharon Fuller (Anthony), and Dorothy James; Brothers: Tommy Mitchell Sr. (Dorothy) and Harry Mitchell Sr.; Dear Friends: Nina Mack, Viola Bryant, Cynthia Johnson, Henrietta Gibson, Jerry Gamble, Sabrina White, Diane Alexander, and Laverne Jones; Godchildren: Ladonna Dixion, Venus Holloman, Demorris Keith, and Breo Mincey; and a host of relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
