On September 23, 2024, Dulce Maria Paradoa-Alvarez was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, el Señor. She received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no sadness or tears.
Dulce Maria Paradoa-Alvarez was born December 15, 1930 to Santiago Paradoa and Dulce Maria Rodriguez-Paradoa in Havana, Cuba.
She traveled to the United States in 1952 with her sister, Teresa to work towards bringing the rest of her family over to the states. They lived in Passaic, New Jersey where Dulce met her husband Jose Andres Alvarez at the airport and recognized him from the neighborhood in Cuba. They married April 26, 1957 and celebrated 56 happy years of marriage before Jose passed away in 2013. Dulce and Jose had two children. Jose Jr. and Camila. Dulce and Jose instilled a strong work ethic in both of their children and stressed the importance of education. This inspired Jose to become a Doctor of Medicine and Camila to become a Doctor of Philosophy.
Dulce and Jose moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 1973 and established the Royal Fountain Motel and Restaurant where they worked diligently to provide for their children's education and helped family members and friends alike.
She loved her family and friends deeply; she was also greatly beloved and would often charm anyone who met her. She had a quick smile and a joyful laugh. Her hobbies included talking every day to her many sisters and brothers, watching Telenovelas, and playing dominoes. Even at the age of 93, shortly before her passing, she regularly beat anyone who would dare to challenge her to play.
Her life, memories, joyful laughter, and her great integrity will always be remembered and cherished by her daughter Camila Catalina Alvarez, her daughter-in-law Tanzaknight Orosz, her companions Nina Pearl Cargill and Melissa Lewis, her sister Rachel Hernandez, her brother Ariel Paradoa, and her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
