EARLY LIFE
Nathan Nathaniel Gainer, later known and beloved as Abdullah Muhammad, was born on December 14, 1946, in Kissimmee, Florida, to the late Willie Lee and Ruby Gainer. He grew up in a loving household alongside five brothers and one sister, forming bonds that would influence his lifelong dedication to family.
Abdullah attended the Okeechobee Public School System and later continued his education at the University of Miami, preparing himself for a life of responsibility, service, and love for his family.
PASSIONS AND INTERESTS
Abdullah was a man of many passions. He loved the outdoors and often spent his time gardening or fishing, activities that brought him peace and reminded him of the beauty of Allah's creation.
He also enjoyed watching anime, which brought him joy and entertainment throughout his life. His interests reflected a vibrant personality and a heart that found happiness in both simple and creative pleasures.
FAMILY LIFE
In Miami, Abdullah married the love of his life, Zakkiyya Muhammad, and together they were blessed with thirteen children. As a husband and father, he was unwavering in his dedication, instilling values of faith, hard work, and love in his family.
Abdullah worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones, serving in the Dade County School System as a security and maintenance worker. Known for his reliability, dedication, and kind spirit, he became a respected figure among colleagues, students, and community members. After decades of service, he retired in 2009.
LATER YEARS AND SECOND MARRIAGE
Following the passing of his beloved wife, Zakkiyya, Abdullah remained strong for his children.
Later, Allah blessed him with companionship once again. On May 15, 2008, he married Catherine Irvis, sharing love, partnership, and devotion in the years that followed
After spending most of his life in Miami, Abdullah relocated to Fort Pierce, Florida, in February 2025 to be closer to family. Surrounded by love, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on August 24, 2025.
LEGACY
Abdullah Muhammad's life was one of faith, perseverance, and love. A devoted servant of Allah, he cherished his family, worked diligently, and enjoyed the blessings of life whether through fishing, gardening, watching anime, or simply spending time with loved ones.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who were blessed to know him.

Muhammad Abdullah is predeceased by his Parents, Lee Willie and Ruby Gainer; first Wife, Zakkiyya Muhammad; Son, Khalid Muhammad; Daughter Ayesha Muhammad; Brothers: Eddie Gainer, Johnny Reese Gainer, Bobby Gainer, Lee Willie Gainer JI., and Alphonso Gainer.
